ABOUT
I am a painter. I work with watercolor and paper in large format. I work with professional grade pigments, 100% cotton paper, and professional museum quality framing. I am interested in the quality of the materials I interact with and the impact of craftsmanship on a work.
My goal is to make exquisite and enlightened objects that contain complex images with meaningful ideas. To contain the nature that surrounds us, perpetually. My work focuses on abstract application of color applied to figuration and representation of nature to depict the constant discovery of existence. In doing so, create and broadcast positive messages to offer alternate forms of reality.
I have been painting with watercolor paint for over 10 years. I love the transparent nature of the pigments and the feel of high quality paper. Using watercolor paint, I get to explore pervasive concepts of humanity and try to capture iconic images of current human living.

The premium choice. All Island Floated pieces will be mounted on a neutral white, acid-free matboard and then matted with a 4” wide neutral white, acid-free matboard. By default all framed pieces will be glazed with a piece of conservation glass (99% UV protection). Every frame is made custom by a museum quality picture framer.

For this series of twenty-four (24) works titled, If I’m Being Honest, I am offering limited edition high-quality giclee prints. The images in this series were designed to be poster-like images, so the application of paint and imagery was made to be seen by as many people as possible. As part of the process in creating these beautiful images, I had them each scanned by a printing house in Houston, using a CRUSE scanner—the cutting edge in digital imagery. The limited-edition prints are made, with love, in Houston using top-of-the-line printers and fine art paper.
